"I knew Kim from a coaching workshop I did many years ago when I was in the fitness industry myself. We stayed in touch online all these years later. I was a personal fitness trainer and nutrition coach for 10 plus years and I thought I knew...well, not everything, but a lot.

"My mind and body were so used to either being pregnant or post-partum, I truly didn’t know what 'normal' felt like for me anymore. I had always prioritized healthy eating and being active, but being diagnosed with gestational diabetes in all three pregnancies scarred me. For over five years, I’d been ingrained with the idea that carbs were harmful to both me and my babies. So, while I knew healthy carbs were important, I was clueless about how to reintroduce them into my diet.
